Pan lubing
Does anyone have a good homemade pan lubing recipes they would like to share? Thought it might save a headache of testing different things like beeswax and bore butter!

Bullshop’s NASA is an AWESOME Bullet Lube, I personally like to thin it down some, and i do so with Stihl HP Ultra Full Synthetic 2 Stroke engine oil, The problem with my Lube is that it’s to thin for Pan Lubing. I lube my Bullets by Hand
Re: Pan lubing
Lew, I tried you recipe but found if I use one small bottle of the Sthil HP oil instead of two bottled it wasn’t bad for pan lubing. I like it and the bullets are still slick.

I would think 1 lb would last you a long time depending on how much shooting you do, but to play safe I would order just two lbs.

This is a recipe I am currently using. Seems to work good although could use a bit thinning out. I have heard that Vaseline get gummy with black powder in a revolver situation but I’ve not experienced any problems with my rifle. Be sure to use hot water and a little extra dawn dishsoap when you clean.

I personally would do away with the Vaseline and use Lanolin In it’s place
