Marlin 1895 SBL
Wow I can't believe the prices they're getting for these rifles. I got one a few years ago and I'm glad I did. I've been seeing them on auctions and gun sites many for over $2000 with a couple over $3000!
The price for all 1895s are up there but the SBL skyrocketed.

I would love to buy Marlin 1895 SBL. It is a beautiful gun. However there is no way I would ever pay those kind of prices for one.

Ruger's MSL price I believe is $1399.but Ruger added a few extras like a threaded muzzle, a bigger loop and some better quality internals. Just what Ruger is known for - building a rock solid gun.Del Gue wrote:I would love to buy Marlin 1895 SBL. It is a beautiful gun. I saw a couple of videos for the new Ruger version. You are right. Looks like Ruger did a great job with the 1895 SBL. Sportsman's Warehouse had the rifle listed for $1299.99 but does not have any in stock now. I will have to think long and hard about this. Maybe sell a gun or two that I no longer shoot in order to fund a new purchase. Hmmmmmmmm.........Bronko22000 wrote:Ruger's MSL price I believe is $1399.but Ruger added a few extras like a threaded muzzle, a bigger loop and some better quality internals. Good luck with your search. I got my SBL near the end of Remington's era when they had most of the bugs worked out. Mine shoots great and hasn't had any malfunctions. From what I understand Rem. management had no idea what they were doing with Marlin rifles. I guess igot lucky and got a good one.
