Hi from Australia!
Hi from Australia! I've had a Sidelock caplock which I sold, and am yet to upgrade. Thinking pedersoli Tryon caplock in 45 or 50. I think it's amazing what Idaho does with the 1/48 twist sidelocks! I have Pedersoli rolling block carbine in 45 Colt for some 2F play also.
I'm a cast boolit addict also!

I think your long range shooting with the 48 twist caplocks is amazing!!! I hope to try it myself with good peep sights of course. Keep up the good work!!

No worries, it's not mine but when I was recently calling around to find a flintlock I came across a gun shop that has a second hand one for a good price. They said it was good condition but wasn't what I wanted so didn't ask for specifics.

Magnum sports, it was around $1,200 mark from memory but I don't recall exactly. As I said I wasn't interested in it myself so didn't pay much notice. Probably worth a call to them if interested.

For a bench/target gun I actually quite like the mortimer. Not really a focus for me at the moment but would be nice.
I still want a flintlock .58, considered a pedersoli jager but they're $3,500! And in .54 anyway. I've been thinking on a chambers build but in my state you only get 4 weeks to get the gun together for inspection. Would be pushed for time.

I own a Tryon in 50. Great shooter. One of my favorite rifles.
