I have a Can of Triple 7 3F, Good Accurate Powder, and Plenty HOT. It is actually a bit Hotter than my Beloved Swiss Blackpowder
Re: 1:24 Twist Cast Bullet test
Yes it is hot. I reduce by 15% . It will work in flintlocks. I just use a starter of 3-4 grain of 4FFFF Goex to ignite the triple 7 FF

If it is available where you are, I wouldn’t hesitate to use it

Something to keep in mind, With substitute powders such as Pyrodex and Triple 7 you should have a Flash Hole size of about .032-.033 For reliable ignition. You want to be really careful with Flash Hole size, they are designed small for good reason, there is a LOT of Back pressure “Blow by” that comes back through the nipple when Fired, You don’t want the Flash Hole to large, If you drill one out you want to be VERY Precise with it. I use precise pin gauges for monitoring flash hole Size
This is my Pin Gauge Set

Re: 1:24 Twist Cast Bullet test
I have even made a powder funnel like you to load my rifles and I do tap them to move the powder 4ffff close to the vent or flash hole. Then the triple 7 then the sabot bullet. But I want to move away to a all lead with no sabot like your doing.

Re: 1:24 Twist Cast Bullet test
You will better off to get rid of the “Weak link” which is the Sabot, Go with a Full Bore Bullet, and use an 1/8” Wool Felt Over Powder Wad Between the Powder and the Bullet Base to protect the Bullet Bases, as they are what actually Steers the Bullet

I would have bought a percussion but you need a license to own here in Canada. Flintlocks need no PAL license to own.
