FPS Russia was targeted by the deep state because that shooting channel was very popular with youth. The gun issue is part of a larger culture war and the Left gets worried when youth are drawn to hunting and shooting. They want shooting sports to be old men, which means no future. That Kyle was drawing young people, they were alarmed and so they destroyed him.
