Bpcr .22 cal insert/sleeve
Just ordered one from shilo sharps gonna try it in my c-sharps 45-90 I had a cpa rifle ordered but I cancelled it due to gun being way over due and not happy with the way cpa has handled it so I'm looking for a different rifle but just wondering if anyone has used one of these inserts ?

I bought one years ago. A Lee Shaver insert. Interesting. Slid it in a sharps 45/70 28"bbl. Took a bit to get on paper but it does work. Good luck.

Mines from shilo the lady said they are pretty darn accurate I also bought the stuff to load my own 22 lr and plan on using black powder for my loads to shoot 22 silhouette matches.

As UFFDA said, Lee Shaver makes a .22 Adapter setup as well, They are a neat idea, especially back when .22 Shells were cheap and plentiful

Headed to the range this morning but I'm using the crossno insert not the shavers I tried setting up the shavers last night but could not get it to seat far enough in the chamber to close the block was late and didn't want to screw up a 5-6 k rifle so I just put the other one in have a few hours to go to the range today and test a few different 22 types I'll take a closer look at the shavers insert when I'm not rushed there is certainly a big difference between the two set ups I like the concept of the shavers better being that it ejects normally I don't like the idea of having to pry the spent case out of the crossno set up but I put some tubing on the supplied screwdriver so just the tip is exposed as to not scratch my gun in any way I'll send some pics of the two set ups later it's 5am I'm gonna finish my coffee and head to the range this will be more fun than work for sure !!

Ok so here's my target from this morning conditions cold and 20'ish mph causing blurred vision the Norma match shot well I had a couple oops but I'm pretty happy with the results so far a side note I could not go any lower on my mid range rear buffalo sight I was aiming at the white dots but shooting high so will need a higher front or swap out rear just for 22 silhouettes I'm not crazy about changing the front sight I'll have to see

The shavers has a adjustable nut to set headspace but need to try to get to fit probably will call Lee tomorrow I don't want to bugger anything up. But the crossno slips it nicely after removing rear sight staff shoots pretty dog gone good too ! Pretty tight chambering I just used a piece of wood dowel to seat each round and extraction was easy

Yes it is. Great for cheap practice with the same rifle for other matches. How have your experiences been? Have you found a discrepancy when removed and re inserted at another time as to aquisition to target? Just wondering.
