Hare there

Being the opposite side of the world our seasons are inverted, here we are moving into summer so it's fishing and small game time.

Been out a little here and there recently getting a few hares for the dog.

My goal this summer is to take a fox with the Flinter.

AWESOME Stuff Bushfire!! Them Hares are fairly good Size, Is this one considered a Big one? How are you liking that Flintlock? It sure is a NICE Looking Rifle

Haha not quite big game, the. 54 hawken has a 34" barrel so it does give scale to the size of the buggers though. 

Enjoying the flintlock but have a real hard time getting round balls for it. Just nothing available in ball or mould form.

Are you stil thinking about getting in to Casting? If so, Have you gathered any of the Equipment yet?

I wish i could send you a bunch of Bullets and Roundball, but they make it SO DIFFICULT that it’s not worth dealing with. Your best bet is to get the Equipment and Cast your own. How difficult is it to Find Pure Lead there?

Yeah I'm not sure on that one, I have seen it for sale but not locally  I will do some looking once I can get a mould and handles.

I took my newest build out to try some shot. No problem knocking down Squirrels. This my Jim Chambers .20 Fowler. I still have to come up with a good PRB recipe for Whitetails. I installed a rear sight on this to be compliant in my state.

P.S.  I used some of the Bees Nest recently that you sent me as Wadding in my UnderHammer 12 Gauge, And every time i carve off a Chunk of Beeswax from this Block i think of ya  Thank you Chris!
