neglecting my muzzle loaders
couple weeks ago i stumbled upon a deal for 3 centerfire rifles. all three are as far from my flintlocks as i am from being Tom Selleck.
my cousin called with the info that his neighbor was moving to NY state to be with his kids. he is turning 80 this month and needs family around.
anyway he had a 1927a1 Thompson new unfired with case, drum, and stick mag. He showed it to me but wouldn't sell right then as the case and stuff was separate in storage.
It disappointed me some as it was a 65 mile drive.
then he hauls out a Savage 112bvss chambered for .223. Nikon scope. pelican hard case. my wallet shrunk.
next he hauls out a Colt SP1 with a 5 digit serial number. 1968. triggered some flashbacks. and deleted the stack of green backs!
next day he called and had the Tommy ready so i burned rubber back over. i am fighting with that little devil on my shoulder that keeps taunting me to fire that Thompson.
have been shooting the Savage 112 though. my range is 150 yards and it shoots 55g hornady sx's into a .75 inch group. think it is a keeper.

unfortunately, three additions has tipped the ability of my hiding places to "your space is overloaded, delete some items to free up usable space"!
the warden is starting to show a lot of white around her eyes as she surveys my treasures.
