Green Mountain Barrels on Ebay
Some fella on Ebay trying to make a Killing These Green Mountain Barrels are Awesome, I have many of them and swear by them, BUT they are NOT worth anywhere near the Money this guy wants for them. Before i payed this Ridiculous price for a Green Mountain Barrel i would buy a Rice Drop in Barrel, Rice are Match Grade 4140 Chromoly Steel, Rice are SUPERIOR to Green Mountain Barrels in every way, I wouldn’t trade one of my Rice Barrels for Several Green Mountain’s. The Stainless Green Mountain LRH Barrels are the Gem’s, But again stil not worth what this guy wants.
Here they are
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=Green+Mountain+barrel&_sacat=0

in most cases you can go to a manufacturer or Big Box and get them cheaper.
However, due to some dumb ass in the White House and congress, and a bunch of brain dead voters, those folks are out of stock.
And those that have are gonna bend the consumer over.....

At those prices I would have expected the stock and lock to be included.
I wonder if he will get what he's asking.

It's kind of like that 1957 Chevy Belaire: In 1957 it ran about $2300, if you want one today, $50,000+.
If it's original and they don't make them anymore....depends on demand.

Anything is possible? I seen a New Stainless Green Mountain LRH Barrel sell for 1,325 Dollars This was on Ebay a few years back. It makes ZERO sense to me? A Match Grade Rice Drop in Barrel is Far Superior in EVERY way to ANY Green Mountain Barrel. But, There are people with Money that HAVE to have something, and they aren’t gonna let Money get in the way of Having it.
I took a picture of the listing and saved it, I was blown away by this The old Saying “More Money than Brains” REALLY comes in to Play here

Yeah, supply and demand will tell the story I reckon. I got a SS and a blued 15/16th Green Mountain LRH Barrels for my Renegade Stocks. I would not consider selling them, even for those prices. They are great shooters.
Got a couple of White in-lines as well. Can not believe what people are asking for them now a days.
Seems like everything is either double and tripling in price these days. Which can be good for when you sell it. But what about when you want to buy a replacement. You are right back in a bad spot with not much selection.
I should have bought a bunch of extras when I had the chance. Who da known? LOL

Re: Green Mountain Barrels on Ebay
I recently purchased a Tc Cougar - Like new in box at a Good price compared to what is asked/sold prices on Gunbroker. Also I obtained a New in box Gm .50 SS Lrh 1/28” twist barrel, sights and Ram rod w/misc. The Finish on the barrel is similar to that of the Cougar hardware- sorta. If I purchased a Rice barrel (Exceptional) I’d to pay and get the finish on it- plus the extras needed. Not many Stainless Gm .50 Lrh available- So I paid the price for that one item to complete my ultimate Sidelock build. Yes it’s high dollar price tags- yet I’m sure I could recoup it in future, or darn close... Someone always wants something no matter the price.
I believe the Combination will be similar to what IdahoLewis has with his Elite switch barrel I’ve seen. I liked the idea of the Cougar blued original barrel in 1/48” twist for a different appearance and to shoot Prb… Keeping the Gm For the Big Bullet lobbin. Not sure as to my sights just yet- probably a 175-200 yard shooter for my hunting area. A peep sight indeed with fiber optic likely. I have a .45 Gm Lrh on my Renegade with Rear Vernier Sight and front 17 globe to shoot further- 250perhaps. I’m not as skilled as some, just prefer good smaller groups at the distance I hunt. Field positions open this groups when off the bench.

Re: Green Mountain Barrels on Ebay
@idaholewis I was the seller of that 1325.00 barrel. Two guys tried to "out snipe" each other. Backfired for the winner. He paid me within about 15 minutes. I was shocked....
I also have the blued LRH 15/16ths barrel on there now. If it doesn't sell I will be chopping it to 26" and dropping it into a White Mountain Carbine stock. Makes a real nice 15/16th's Renegade (ish) rifle.
Chris (the seller on Ebay) is selling the barrels about as fast as he can get them listed. The stainless versions have been unobtanium for some time now. He fell into a truck load of them.

Got the Gm Stainless .50 Lrh in my Cougar stock- snug and tight.
Really great barrel to say the least- new in box, cougar pretty much as well.

Nice rifle Africa. About those GM barrels, if the going price is around $450 that's what I'd list them for. I do have one listed for my friend at that price and I just might have a 45 cal LRH for sale soon.
Most want the GM because that's what they've heard about.

A couple of years ago, I paid either $200 or $220 for my NIB 45 GM LRH bbl for my TC Renegade. I'm glad I bought it back then.

Re: Green Mountain Barrels on Ebay
Folks, you are forgetting one thing. If you are the owner of the product, you can ask for whatever price you want. You as the possible buyer may make an offer or walk on by. It's a simple transaction, eh?
