Bedding question
does anyone know where I can find a video on how to bed a sidelock? I've been looking on line and can't find a good video on bedding for accurizing.
I'm in the same boat as Lewis. I want to eliminate every possible variable when I'm shooting. Bullets, powder, lube, even screw/wedge tightness must be the same.
I feel bedding will help eliminate just one more thing that can affect accuracy.
If there isn't one out there I may just make one myself doing a before and after accuracy test.....
Of course it is gong to take a while to do it.

Re: Bedding question
not a video, but i show where to put the bedding. Johnsons paste wax works great as a release agent. One thin coat, give it a few minutes to set up, then hit it with another thin coat for added insurance.

Re: Bedding question
Thanks Jon. What do you suggest? Something like a dime size "pillar"?
One video I watched the man bedded the entire bottom of the barrel channel. I thought that was really overkill.
I use Johnsons paste wax also. Good stuff.

Re: Bedding question
Jon do you leave a small area ahead the tang for the barrel to pivot in without the botton flat digging into the bedding?
