Smokeless & Real Black Powder.....

I was searching on here. Do any of you guys make your own black powder? Doesn't look very hard to do.

It's a matter of experimenting until you get it right.

I think I plan on experimenting as all you can get now is the Chinese stuff.....

There is plenty of real black powder, but you have to either search online or your local gun stores.

I have some ordered from Powder Valley 3F and 2F. I saw that Buffalo Arms has some 1.5F Swiss in stock but I wonder if that is too coarse for my 50 ball shooter?

I made some of my own and it shoots faster than Schuetzen by over 100 FPS in my Hawken style 50 cal. Would it be of interest to anyone to post my findings in a new post? It really is pretty simple to make better than store bought and cheaper. Swiss still might be better but I wouldn't know until I compare!

By all means, please post. We haven't had much luck with ours.

Ok I will try to gather up some data and get it out there as soon as I get some more made. My next batch burns much faster and will be better! Thanks
