middle screw size on T/C hawken tang?? Empty middle screw size on T/C hawken tang??

What is the screw size for the peep sight attachment on the T/C hawken tang??  the middle screw where the front of the Lyman gpr peep sight mount attaches??     Thanks in advance!!  Kirk

The Lyman 57sml sight uses a 6-48 N.S. screw

I think it is a #8 machine screw. It is a 5/32X32 thread, I believe. This is by my measurement but my eyes are so poor that it could be a 36 thread, as I have trouble reading my thread gauge. If you find a screw the right size but too long, screw a nut on it before you cut it off then unscrew the nut to reshape the threads.
