The finer the front sight is the better I like it

I absolutely love my Globe front sights for Target use, there is simply nothing better. That said, they can REALLY Suck in Low light. For hunting i have made myself learn to Shoot a 3/32 Fiber optic Bead, I can’t get the same Super precise Target/Sight picture, But i can stil Shoot well under 2 inches at 100 Yards, I even shoot MOA With them often enough that it doesnt surprise me when it happens

Here you can see the difference in Lee Shaver inserts vs The ones that Come with the Lyman Globe sights, The Lyman’s are WAY to Big and Bulky, i toss them in a Pile and use my Shaver inserts

I just ordered the 17AHB and the leeshaver inserts I couldn’t help my self. I have 20/15 vision (used to have 20/15 in both until I had a really bad accident that left me with only 20% in my left eye) and the clunky factory sights just aren’t cutting it.

My vision without my new Glasses is 20/100 It’s Crazy how good Peep sights work for some of us, I would NEVER be able to shoot as well as i do without Peep Sights

Lewis i got the inserts from lee shaver I'm still waiting for the 17ahb to arrive. It is supposed to be here by 19th. so a few more days

I didn't get anything, I did see a few Big Cows at 400 Yards, I even put my Lee Shaver bead on one just to see what it looked like? That is just to far on an Animal with Open/Peep sights, To many things can easily go wrong at those Ranges. I did have fun, getting to Hunt with my Dad is always Fun

Finally finished with the sights other than sighting back in

I really like the super fine cross hairs in the globe sight. Saturday is supposed to be a wash with the 16”-24” of snow with high winds 35-45 mph winds so hopefully Sunday is better

There ya go Ivan! That is the finest sight system you can get for precision, nothing else compares to it, Just be aware that They can really suck in Low light

That’s what I hear I’ll have to go to the range and get things dialed in again and see. Even with my left eye being damaged from a bad accident my night vision is still impeccable. I will report back with new targets

I bounce between the cross hair and the smallest bead. I seem to shoot best with the cross hair so far but it is close.
Can't wait to see what you can do with the rifle now.

Yah me too but we keep getting snow storms that drop 18”+ at a time but spring will be here soon enough and I got my annual range renewal so I’m all set when the weather cooperates

Finally got to the range to sight in the ne with the Williams fp hawken and the Lyman globe and lee Schafer inserts. These were at 60 yards by range finder. 90gr volume of goex 2f and one of my personal favorites the 54-510m bullet with my own lube which is just about as good as it gets (keep it thin to win) I made my own over powder wads and my own lube again. I don’t have any pics at 110yard targets my fingers were to cold for the phone to work (go figure) it was well below freezing today

But several times I had tagged holes where I didn’t make any sight adjustments. A couple of times I over adjusted. First shot was at the very to and right, second was way low and left. Those came up a little then over adjusted up then over adjusted to the right then bullseye! And on to the 110 yard target

And finally got it dialed in at the 110 yard target. I’ve gotta tell you guys and gals I really like the fine inserts and rear peep sights. There was 18 deer that casually passed to the right of the rage I was at and if I had it dialed in for 465 yards (vortex impact 1000 range finder ) I would have shot a few of them. Those sights are the best I’ve ever use! No joke but here’s a few cool picks from a slow motion vid for you

Lube is EXTREMELY Important, It can/will Make or Break accuracy
